New Online Shop – What Happened to My Account?

Welcome to the new online shop. We hope this will give our many loyal customers a much better shopping experience than our previous platform. It has a host of new features. It is also faster and easier to use. The only downside is that we have not been able to transfer the accounts from the old site to this one. Here’s why:

This new Harringtons website was opened just after the new General Data Protection Regulation – or GDPR – came into force. That meant we were unable to transfer personal details without first acquiring explicit permission to do so. The result is that accounts from the old site have been erased.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. However, we felt our hands were tied by the new legislation. To protect your rights it was the right thing to do.

The good news is that the accounts on this new site are far more useful and easier to maintain. You can set-up a new account during the checkout procedure. In fact one will be made for you automatically.
